Unfortunately, it was victim to fire at some point, so it was rebuilt during the Song Dynasty around 1000 AD. This troubling time helped earn its nickname from a poem written as a dedication to a visit by the poet Su Shi called the ‘Six Banyans’, and it is still used today!
