1. Stay at a well recognized and well reviewed hotel.
1. Stay at a well recognized and well reviewed hotel. Avoid AirBnB if possible.
2. Rent a bike and ride along the perimeter of the city and along the cruise ship pier and up along the beaches. Stop a get an ice cream at Ogden Point under the cafe.
3. Don't buy cheap souvenirs but buy a nice hand made pair of leather house slippers. Costly but great to have and will last for years.
4. Lots of great restaurants for foodies. Everywhere. Consult brother Google and sister Trip Advisor.
5. Evening walk around the harbour.
6. Fisherman's wharf for fish and chips.
Victoria has so much to offer it is not possible to write it here. Youtube does a great job.

Enjoyed the smaller restaurant in the harbor where we had high tea and visiting the Parliament House with my son was a highlight! I was surprised with the amount of public drug-use in downtown where our hotel was located but otherwise it was a very walkable city that didn't require a car. I highly recommend the Victoria Clipper and is worth the fare if you are traveling from Seattle. We drove and took the ferry from Tswassen and then drove 40 min from Sydney which made for a very long drive.

the best thing was the whale watching cruise with Eagle Wing Tours. Not to be missed! Everything else was also interesting and beautiful including the entire harbor. Getting around was pretty easy but we were withing walking distance from our hotel to the Royal Canadian Museum, the Capitol buildings, the harbor and our whale trip. The area around our hotel had good, small restaurants. The fish places on the harbor are fantastic and to be recommended.

If you love rooms with flash back colors and style this place is the place. The funny thing was in grandma's basement with the pool table I spent time showing kids how to use a rotary phone that they had 😅

The room has been updated. Unlike a lot of hotels there are plenty of places to put your stuff unlike other places. There is a microwave, fridge and lavazza coffee maker. Perfect. The bed is very comfortable. The location is downtown and within walking distance of many places. The staff at the hotel are excellent t. They do go above and beyond and certainly have that personal touch.
The Rialto is our go to place in Victoria.
The location was perfect for wandering around downtown Victoria. The hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful. We were able to check in early so that we could go walking. There was coffee available in the lobby early in the morning and during the day. Good parking available. We had to book last minute and it worked out beautifully.
The room was lovely with a nice view, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is perfect for the harbour and Downtown Victoria, and good value for money. The free secure parking and Wifi were a bonus too. All excelIent, I think this hotel deserves a higher star rating.
Breakfast was first class...!!!!....STAFF WERE OUTSTANDING!. Room was immaculate yet vintage in atmosphere. Location is within a very short walk from downtown Victoria.
