Loved the staff. They were able to connect us with the taxis and ways to get around easier. The ambiance was lovely, with a modern Italian feel. The rooms had big windows that opened and let in a nice breeze. The air conditioning also worked very well. The breakfast was also delicious!

Much better value for money than I thought, you can really get around and find some hidden gems from Spritz & Bruschetta deals for €6 and two course tourist menus for €15 Gondola's at €90 for 30mins seems a rip-off so we decided to walk everywhere which gives you such a good view, you can really walk from one end to the other in 1hr or less. We used the Vaporreto to go from one end of the Gran Canal to the other on a 75min ticket for €9 each. If you like a stroll and a people watch it's a great place for a couple of days.

I had not been to Venice since 1984 and was excited to visit once again after 40yrs! Venice did not disappoint, this is a must see unique city on the water and on water it is. Purchase a boat taxi pass unless you are able to walk miles everyday. We have traveled all over Italy previously and this was my wife's first time in Venice and she loved it. Cautionary note: beware of the gypsy pickpockets as they are everywhere. Also, of the large crowds near the major sites. Venture off the beaten track like the area Dorsoduro where we stayed really great restaurants, bars and shopping. Take at least 3 days in Venice to ensure to capture the spirit of the city and people. Happy travels.

One of the most beautiful cities I've visited, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. Tourism has taken over, which has significantly impacted the lives of the locals and made them less friendly to visitors. Many streets are narrow and crowded especially in popular areas.

We loved Venice and the lack of vehicles.

We loved Venice and the lack of vehicles. From our rental, we could walk everywhere. Was busy during the day with visitors to the island and then very quiet and peaceful during the evenings when only the locals and guests staying in Venice were around. More than ample retail shopping everywhere, restaurants, lovely sights to see, vaporetto or gondola rides available, and a host of historic / cultural sights to visit. At the port you can take day trips to Murano/Burano (or other spots).

Venice is one of the most beautiful places to visit.

Venice is one of the most beautiful places to visit. But at the same time it is also one of the most popular and as such is very crowded, especially at the top attractions. Whilst San Marco will obviously be at the top of everyone's places to visit I would strongly recommend going off the beaten track as that way you will experience the true Venice. One mistake we made on this trip was NOT to cover ourselves in mosquito repellent! They were out in force at the time we visited and we were bitten to shreds!!

Check Venice Unica site before buying any tickets - they have good offers, especially for families (2 adults plus one kid - reduced tickets for all participants as for youth). Line to San Marco depends on the daytime. After 15:00 it is much shorter and takes around 10-15 min to enter, so buying "skip the line" tickets not necessary if you have some time.

Location! Breakfast was great. The staff were all super nice. We just got back from a July trip. Super hot in Venice, air conditioning in our room wasn’t great at all, however it’s probably not great at any hotel in Venice. The bathroom was huge and updated. Very nice bathtub which can be a rare find in Italy.

Great location, tucked away from the bustle of the main Venice streets, but with supermarket, cafe and restaurants just round the corner. We were travelling through Italy as a family (2+2) and my daughter voted this the best apartment that we stayed in on our trip - high praise indeed!
