Chaweng has something for everyone. we were 2 50+ adults with our 28 year old son and girlfriend. They enjoyed the nightlife on the strip with some friends and we enjoyed some lovely lunches and and beach days in a nice resort whilst they recovered from the nights excesses. You can arrange excursions to other islands easily. I would caution against staying up the big hills as it puts the taxi drivers off.Guest review bybeverleyUnited Kingdom - Review score

Really easy to get around, great bars and restaurant's beaches are excellent, lots of massage places, a visit to the night market is a must for cheap food options. Shop around for gifts and the shops are willing to barter on some goods.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - Review score

I prefer to always stay on Bophut beach as I love the quietness and also at night the walking street is closed to cars so you can walk at your own leisure without having to worry about cars and bikes. The walking street is full of great restaurants to eat at with the most amazing food, even the food market is worth a visit with its entertainment and street food. Some of the restaurants we ate at were Bacaba, The Shack, Patuy restaurant, Nahm, 2 fishes, all amazing. We even hired a car and driver one day who drove us around the island.Guest review byJenAustralia - Review score
Mae Nam doesn’t have the best beach, and is a busy area.
Mae Nam doesn’t have the best beach, and is a busy area. We have been to several areas of Thailand, and we found Koh Samui in general to be very busy and not that well maintained considering it is such a popular tourist island. There is no doubt that Fisherman’s Village is a very popular town, but it is very touristy and lacks the relaxed Thai experience that we are looking for.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - Review score

This is a great tourist destination.
This is a great tourist destination. Glad we went during the low-season as it made for small, tolerable crowds. Plenty of activities and sights to do and see - we only brushed the surface with our short time there. Go for at least one week. Two would be better. The surrounding Gulf of Thailand offered lake-like calm, turquoise waters. Views everywhere are stunning. We Weill have to return again in the future. Highly recommend, especially the low-season.Guest review byLorentzUnited States - Review score

There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.Guest review bynhan - Review score

Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui.
Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.Guest review byAlex PKazakhstan - Review score
Loved our room! It was very spacious, clean & comfortable.
Loved our room! It was very spacious, clean & comfortable. The bed and pillows met our expectations. The pool was huge! Great for children or grown ups. A very ambient, quiet resort set on the beach front. The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening. We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening. Overall a great stay & value for the rates. The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries. Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive. .Guest review byAnonymous
