Beautiful city which is under rated and prefers not to hype itself. Amazing eateries such as Spoon and Stable, The Breakfast Club, Union Center Restaurant, Surly Brewing Company with their special brews and food to name a few! There are fantastic coffee shops and bakeries like Black Walnut Bakery. Lovely parks and lakes to take a stroll and the people are so friendly. Great place to shop! City is much more cleaner than other American cities. Definitely worth a visit! Minneapolis has it all!

I used to live in Minneapolis and I love the city.

I used to live in Minneapolis and I love the city. It is really clean for a city believe it or not. There are many things to do from great restaurants to events at the U.S. Bank Stadium to theater to concerts in smaller venues. If you are bored in Minneapolis then you just don't want to do anything.

I booked through Booking.com and talked to customer service, asking for a late checkout. Customer service confirmed it and allowed a late checkout. A week before my visit, I called the front desk to confirm my late checkout --- they confirmed it on the phone. I visited the hotel and wanted to confirm it for the third time, and the 'front-desk manager' said we couldn’t honor the request. I was celebrating my partner's birthday and wanted it to be a nice weekend, but the manager became confrontational and asked me if I had a premium status? I was polite and explained to him that I just wanted a 2-hr late checkout, and he kept on asking if I had a premium status to qualify for late checkouts. Their system did say that the late checkout was confirmed, but the 'front-desk manager' decided not to honor the request. Very unprofessional attitude from the front-desk manger. I would never recommend someone to stay at this hotel. Stay date was March 28th Friday around 3 PM.

I valet parked my car at the Hewing.

I valet parked my car at the Hewing. My car and 4 others from the hotel had the windows broke out and the insides gone thru looking for valuable. When the hotel contacted the police department, they were told the police would not be responding to the incident. If the police are letting crimes like this go without even investigating them HOW soon will it be before crime escalates to more serious offenses?

Minneapolis has changed a lot especially the downtown area.

Minneapolis has changed a lot especially the downtown area. NO retail or very little of it except Target. I've been visiting MSP for years and have noticed seedy people hanging out, didn't feel unsafe just a bit uncomfortable. One guy was screaming anti-White crap, but I except that this is left-wing Minneapolis. I guess COVID, the Democrat lockdown like some many other cities have been destroyed, and not coming back any time soon. I know I live in San Francisco and our downtown area is a complete baron area.

I really liked the hospitality of the staff. The decoration of the bedroom was also good. They cleaned my room regularly. Both the bathroom and bedroom were very clean and equipped with necessary stuffs. If I were to visit Minneapolis again, I would be happy to stay at the same hotel (Nicollet Island Inn) again.

Perfect location to explore Minneapolis. The staff were amazing and so helpful with all my queries. The room was spacious, though dated. But everything worked as needed. Bathroom had plenty of towels and the couches in the lounge area comfy.
