Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.
Lisbon is a treasure trove of beauty, culture, international cuisine and wonderful, welcoming people from all over the world.Transportation is well organized(and fun, especially the vintage trams)but seeing the city on foot is best, if you have sturdy walking shoes: Lisbon’s fascinating sidewalks and old cobbled stone streets (and hills!) are not old-foot friendly. The Gulbenkian Museum and gardens are a world class treasure, not to be missed. And a night at a Fado Cafe!

Wonderful!
Wonderful! Rich in history, scenic places, beautiful weather and good food.... and wines.... and beer. If you fancy walking, there are mostly hills and valleys so you will get quite a tonus after a few days.

I spent about 5 days in Lisbon and 3 in Porto. I enjoyed getting to learn about Portugal in general - arts, culture, history and the food. Be prepared for the hills.. I am a fitness instructor full time and still felt like the hills were kind of crazy. I learned how to get around anyway!

we visited Lisbon for the weekend and enjoyed it very much.
we visited Lisbon for the weekend and enjoyed it very much.
the city is walkable, but there are metros to catch back from the riverfront as it may be a bit much to walk all the way there and back. there are also quirky funiculars to take you up the hill for Euros 4.20 return.
the castle is a nice stroll up the hill! luckily there are bars up the top to catch your breath and quench your thirst. come back down the other side through all the narrow streets.
Beer and Gin are expensive but food and wine was reasonable.
public transport also very reasonable. the little red and yellow trams are expensive and a bit of a tourist trap. would recommend a visit

Easily accessible to all tourist attractions using the Lisbon travel card for trains, trams, buses. Best to book tickets in advance for what you want to visit. Recommend the castle in Alfama, Sintra and Pena Palace and a beach day at Cascais. Food prices very reasonable for a capital city. Would definitely recommend for a great city break or touring around Portugal. Only downside is the queue for some attractions even with booking tickets in advance so didn’t get to do some things as didn’t want to queue but lots of lovely free parks and museums to enjoy.

I found Cascais beautiful and relaxing . The area were the telecabine was also a lovely place to stroll around.it was nice also strolling around the city cobblestone streets
Also the castle in Sintra and st George castle was worth seeing. The hotel my story hotel oura was so comfortable and relaxing and the staff were friendly and made U feel welcome.
HIstoric accommodations in the heart of old Lisbon; excellent location for walking to sights and restaurants. Modern design in old building; tasteful and beautiful. The breakfast provided, the extra efforts the staff went to in order to make our stay a warm welcome was really what sets this small, luxury boutique hotel apart from any other we've stayed in. Coming back at the end of a day of exploring, being offered a glass of wine; chatting with other guests .. it felt like coming home. HIghly recommend. Would love to return.
Perfect location for the night life in Lisbon. Beautiful new hotel. Don’t be fooled by the old Google Street View images. This old office building was completely renovated and converted into a hotel with a great restaurant and bar. For a 5 Star hotel, the price was unbeatable. Breakfast was exceptionally good and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful with booking taxis and passenger vans for our group. I cannot say enough good things about our stay and will definitely book this property the next time I’m in Lisbon.
Fantastic location - although I was in Lisbon for work, I still had tourist inclinations. The hotel could not be better placed for access to everything in the area a tourist would demand. I paid a little extra for an upgrade and it was worth every penny. The very quiet room had an “office” area and a fantastic shower in the bathroom. There wasn’t much to see through the windows, but I was there to walk around.
One of the best breakfasts ever. More a boutique hotel with some facilities, but a wonderful stay.
The hotel is well situated: 10 minutes from the airport (by taxi), bus stop in front of the hotel, 20 min walk from centre, restaurants and shops nearby. The room was very nice, big TV with many channels, spotless cleaning everyday. Breakfast was very good - pastry, eggs, cheese, ham, fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, cereals and good coffee. Man at the front office is very professional, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a very good choice for a pleasant stay in Lisbon.
Thank you and wish you all the best!
Unbeknownst to us we arrived to Lisbon the same days when the Pope and over 1 million people descended on the city, and the staff of the hotel were extremely helpful in showing us how to navigate the city the best way possible.
It helped that the hotel is centrally located to the main places of interest, allowing us to experience this beautiful city.
The hotel is impeccably clean, the bed very comfortable , and the pastels de nata at the reception are a “sweet bite” for every time you cross the lobby!
The best boutique hotel we have stayed in so far in Lisbon. Just perfect at a good price. This is the second of the Lisbon Heritage Collection hotels we have stayed in - the other, Janelas Verdes Inn, was almost as good. The location is perfect, great room, beautiful, understated décor, outstanding breakfast and wonderful staff. Fair parking price. Also decent food in the bar. I've run out of superlatives. We have tried maybe a dozen different hotels in Lisbon and this now goes to the top of our list.
The hotel is in a lovely and easily accessible location.
I absolutely loved my stay there; the breakfast was lovely and the room was so comfortable and clean at all times,.
I went to Lisbon with no concrete itinerary but the staff helped with recommendations, they have a special desk to help clients with suggestions and bookings so that made my stay very worthwhile.
All facilities are as stated online. Definitely worth the price for a 5 star hotel.
Great staff, I highly recommend.
Things you see online tend to be different when you come in person, but this was not the case with Exe Saldanha. Everything you see online is the same you will see when you check in. The hotel is very clean and the staff is polite and helpful. The location is probably the best possible especially if you are coming from the airport. The red metro line takes you all the way to the hotel and the remaining 3 lines intersect also there - so every part of Lisbon is a few minutes away.
Although it was only for one night, it was a very comfortable room and the hotel has the best facilities I've seen in Lisbon so far. The breakfast buffet is top notch and the location is excellent, across from Oriente subway and train stations, next to Vasco da Gama shopping mall. What else could you ask for?
This is definitely the place I am choosing for the next visit to Lisbon. I forgot to add that is only two subway stops away from the airport. Very convenient.
This is a very cozy hotel with very clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, and centered well in Lisbon. Many sites are within a walking distance.
The team is amazing and warm welcoming. Jaoao was of much assistance in providing information. Gabriel did great in assisting us in our needs. A great applause to wonderful Cluadia. Cluadia presence is well noticed between guests. She tries her best to make the stay of the guests a unique experience. Thank you all
Honestly this is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Everything was brilliant. Location was amazing too, loved the avenue nearby and close to centre, metro, train station. The apartment had everything we could wish for, comfy beds and extremely quiet. If we ever visit Lisbon again we'll be staying here. Staff were extremely helpful. It's part of a 5 star hotel so the service was top level.
It is the perfect stay - book already! Love this hotel and can’t wait to be back. The amazing rooms, design, history, breakfast. Not to mention the best location in town! Any marking down on booking.com is from people used to staying in 5 star chain hotels with a massive staff. ThIs is a boutique hotel. Having traveling the world in depth, this is always the better experience 😉
We liked everything about this hotel. The staff made us feel so welcome.
The welcome drink and the bottle of wine with dinner was such a nice touch. And the 4 pastis with a bit of liquor- WOW!!
Everyone was so lovely and the food in the restaurant was outstanding! Breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip.
This is our hotel of choice in Lisbon!!!❤️❤️❤️
The location of the hotel is fantastic in the center of Lisbon, 2 minutes for subway station near to some of the best Lisbona actrations, personel take care of you there are refreshents always available in the lobby . The breackfast is good served in a quite small room but not cahotic since very well managed by personel,
Amazing from start to finish! The staff were so friendly, so helpful and it was like a 5 star experience. Everything from the room, to the pool to the hotel restaurant was fantastic. We ate three times in the restaurant during our three night stay because the carbonara was the best we had tasted.
The best hotel we’ve ever stayed in !
You are treated like royalty . The staff is nice and kind as well as very skillful .
The landscaping is green and lush and makes you forget you are in Lisbon and not a resort.
There are beautiful pools and good restaurants, all one can wish for in one place.
location is great and central to every sightseeing destination in Lisbon. Easy access to local supermarket in case if required specially for families. Nice and clean inside the property. I would rank this hotel as a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Lisbon.
Big rooms, nice decoration and tall ceilings - tried several of these "boutique" hotels in Lisbon and this one was by far the best one in terms of value for money.
I highly recommend this Hostel to stay for your next trip to the fascinating and lively city of Lisbon. It’s like a 5 star hotel without the expensive price.
