A nice hotel located on the edge of the art nouveau district. The hotel itself is art nouveau as well, so this is a bonus if you like architecture. The building is a bit past of its glory days, but charming and the room was nice and clean. There is a fridge as well if you want to store drinks or sandwiches. There is 24 hours reception. The historic old town is 25 minutes away on foot.

Great location - just a quick walk from the Airport. You'll see the hotel as soon as you exit the terminal and you can walk to it in 5 minutes. Google Maps showed a longer walking route, but I disregarded it as I could make out the path just by looking.
Public transport to the city was easy as a bus to the city center was available from the airport terminal. A ticket machine was also available and was hassle free.
I booked the cheapest room with the shared bathroom which was quite ok. The room is basic but had an air conditioner and does the job well. There are separate bathrooms for men and women. In the men's bathroom there was one toilet but three showers with lockers like in a gym.
It was nice that the reception had a massage chair which wasn't expensive at all to use.

Lovely medieval town centre. Clean and safe some areas a little touristy. Art nouveau area astounding architecture and public parks are beautiful. Skyline bar well worth a visit for cocktails with a view. We typically found the best resteraunt on the last day which is called “The Swedish gate”. Head away from the centre past the War museum towards the river and it’s on the left. Authentic Latvian food very well prepared delicious and inexpensive.

Riga has both mystique and a unique individual identity, unlike any other city I have visited. The combination of cobbled streets, fabulous architecture, a beautiful river, green parks, numerous cafes and restaurants, make this a great place to explore. For stunning views across the city, take the lift to the observation platform in St. Peters Church old town. Check out the old zeppelin hangers that are now fruit, veg and fish markets. Take a canal boat tour of Riga and view it from a different dimension. Check out the Rock Cafe in the evening. All these activities are within walking distance in and around the old town.

It was a weekend stay in Riga with lots of walking and exploring in the old town. One of the favourite places to visit this time was the RSU Anatomy Museum in Riga, which was very insightful and interesting for adults, definitely not for kids, as there is a separate floor with those unfortunate cases of human defects, which might be traumatising. The other one was the Latvian National Opera House. It was unplanned, but we managed to get tickets to the opera "Tosca", which was an amazing experience. The Opera House inside is so old-school in a good way, especially from an architectural point of view, luxuriously decorated with lots of gold elements. It was an extremely good experience.
We tried Peppo's Pizzeria in the old town to get some usual and also more delicate tastes of pizza. It was the last month they were located in Miesnieku Street (April 2025) as the place owners decided not to extend the lease on short notice. But I hope they found another good spot somewhere in the old town. Also, traveled by car to Riga's Akropole as there is Grill London, which we always enjoy.

for a capital city, Riga is very walkable (at least, the old town centre) and the public transport via tram and bus is very good to go further afield. Lots to see and plenty of good bars, restaurants and cafes everywhere. The central market is amazing, as is the smaller one in the area across the river, where the wooden house district is. It rained most of the time (May) we were there, but we still enjoyed our four night stay, and would have happily stayed another couple of days. We found some good craft beer bars selling local breweries' beers as well as decent wine, and some served food.

Great location near the river Daugava and Old Town and everywhere you can walk. Near hotel there are public transport station (Bus Nr.22 goes to Airport).
Good SPA (for Riga center).
Great breakfast.
I had room with view to river and street, but it was pretty good quiet...you can little bit hear street noise, but only motorcycles and cars with bad exhausts. ;)
Good hotel for good price. The location was great! In the middle of the old town of Riga and close to a lot of sightseeing and restaurants. Everything was on walking distance. Also the bus to/from the airport. The room was clean and had everything you could need for a short citytrip including a minibar. Breakfast was varied.
hotel is very centrally located in the old town, you can walk easily everywhere in a few minutes.Airport bus 22 departs just outside of the hotel and is very convenient.Very good price, clean big rooms with good wifi, definitely worth staying to visit Riga.
Centrally located hotel in the old town of Riga. All the main attractions are within walking distance. Two minutes from the bus stop to the airport. Spacious and well equipped rooms. Relatively good breakfast. Perfect for a short stay.
