This was my second time to Seoul. After my first trip, I didn't think of going back. I only went this time, because my daughter was studying there. However, the charms of Seoul drew me in, this time. I love it that there are so many mountains and trails to climb and discover all within a city! It's really fascinating! I climbed up three peaks, and now, I would like to return to try the other mountains! Found a charming neighbourhood, Buam-dong, too.

What a great city!
What a great city! The true harmony between modernity and past. A place full of contrasts, very clean, where we can find five palaces very well preserved, old villages where we can stay in traditional houses called Hanoks, impressive temples, parks, greenery everywhere, mountains, lovely places to seat outside, beautiful shops, great restaurants, an enchanting stream to stroll around day and night and a very lovely atmosphere. Seoul is the soul for South Koreans and for us, rests in our memories forever.

Seoul has good and affordable public transport.
Seoul has good and affordable public transport. We found the city interesting with good tourist attractions, and the locals were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the DMZ, traditional villages, and palaces tours.
After leaving a disappointing “3 star” hotel, we stayed at a very good IHG “3 star” hotel and had an excellent stay there.
We recommend visiting Seoul, but select accommodation wisely!

Big difference from only 2 years ago.
Big difference from only 2 years ago. Stayed in the same area but it has changed so much in 2 years - for the worse - it was unreal. Still love South Korea, but it's changed. People are not as friendly as before. Shops and restaurants are now seem only interested in your money. Did not have any major issues, with the exception of being taken advantaged of at a restaurant and we weren't treated as well as we were just 2 years back. Few areas we didn't feel comfortable walking around. Lot more open drinking. Just...........different.

The people that I met were helpful and kind.
The people that I met were helpful and kind. I had one lady offer me a plastic mac, another lady gave me her umbrella. I loved the art work that's displayed all over the city. Seoul is clean no litter and as I was travelling alone I felt very safe going out at night and using the underground.

The location was perfect for easy access to the subway, food and shopping. Despite this it was quiet and we had no problems sleeping. Breakfast was good with variety and certainly ample for most. The staff at the hotel were quick to help and very pleasant. Seoul is more expensive than the rest of South Korea but the Metro was good value and we certainly would stay there again.
Great location. Close to subway Station and it's right at the end of myeongdong shopping street. super convenient for a person whom doesn't like to waste unnecessary steps like me.
my room came with full windows overlooking the city street which was nice.
the bed and pillow was one of the best we had amongst all our hotel stay in South korea.
Great location: the place never sleeps, and at all times there is something to do. Very popular with students.
The staff is very polite, they greet you every time they see you and they’re trying their best to help you with anything.
The hotel used to be amazing and now it seems to be poorly maintained which is common in South Korea.
Great location. Few minutes walk to Myeongdong eating and shopping streets. Very near to Myeongdong Cathedral.
We had cheap and good traditional Korean meals in the many eateries around the hotel. Airport bus in front of hotel was very handy! Taxi fares are very reasonable.....we didn't need the subways.
this is second time we staying in this hotel, the location is the best as it is close to samsung station and close to coex ,easy access to airport bus services, close to gangnam station, can get around easy with subway or bus
