The international staff were friendly and helpful. The Hungarian ones don't smile and you can't crack a joke with them 😆 But they do their job. Room was good size. The sauna, but it's only from 4 pm -10 pm.

Location is unbeatable for being so near the train station. And for the price, it the hotel was excellent. The breakfast buffet is worth the extra $10. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They let me store my luggage at no charge while I waited for my room and even kept special watch of my laptop.

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels available in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes it an easy choice.
Great city. Easy to get around,. Allow some extra time to enjoy the spa's. Subway system is easy to use and free for seniors. Do check out the Hilton Roof Top bar on the Buda side of the river. Great views overlooking the city and cathedral. Also take a night time cruise on the Danube to see the sights at night.

Very nice city, everything you need to see is close together so you can easily see things in 3, max 4 days. Public transportation is excellent so you can move around very fast. Downside is prices especially for food, way overpriced!

Most people we had dealings with were lovely.
Most people we had dealings with were lovely. The sunset boat cruise with four course meal was very enjoyable, as was a day at one of the thermal baths. Regarding meals, we stopped at restaurants with lots of people already in them, food was no problem on each occasion.
What I didn't like was that we paid 5,000 for a taxi organised by the hotel reception team, to the Gellert thermal baths. When we came out at the end of the day we jumped in a taxi outside the baths. The fella asked if we could pay cash - yes. But I didn't notice we were not on a meter. The driver charged us 10,000 for the return - same distance. So be warned.

Budapest is a stunning city divided by the Danube River, with historic Buda on one side and vibrant Pest on the other. It's full of grand architecture, thermal baths, and a lively cultural scene, it blends old-world charm with modern energy. Worth visiting!

One of the nicest, if not nicest, cities to visit.
One of the nicest, if not nicest, cities to visit. And I'm including Prague, Koln (Cologne), Paris, etc. Just such an awesome city - safe, so many places to eat, not terribly expensive, and such interesting history and sites to see. (only negative is DO NOT GO TO House of Terror - so not well done, and expensive!!)

The location is perfect- walking distance to the city centre, near to 2 metro stations & a tram station (from different directions), it’s a peaceful area even though it’s located somewhere around the heart of pest, Budapest.
The room is comfortable & spacious for a family of three. Everything is clean including the bathroom.
The service is really good & helpful. There are no convenient supermarkets nearby to go to at night (to buy water) but the restaurant next to the hotel lets us buy bottle of water from them.
All good for family with kids booking the family room with a separate sleeping room. It’s a very good price level. Location is easy via metro M4 and ideal for people coming by car as it’s just outside city centre and no traffic issues. ;)
Breakfast is good.
All in all what we need to stay a night or two in Budapest.
The location was brilliant. You were in walking distance from the bars and restaurants, to the city centre or to the river. it was great to come back to the hotel and jump into the hot tub and a swim . the spa massages and treatments are amazingly cheap half the price compared to anywhere else.
Cosy little boutique hotel in a historic building of Budapest city centre. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room very clean. We loved it and will definitely be back soon!
