Apart from duners and pizzas, there is nothing else to eat on the street. It takes a visit to restaurants, which are always overpriced, in the end.

A port city with a long history; visit the archaeological museum for interesting exhibits and maps. The central old town varies greatly in condition; some of the older buildings are being well maintained, others are gently crumbling. The architecture is an interesting mix of Art Nouveau and Transylvanian, with echoes of the Ottoman presence there.
Many lively cafes and restaurants on Piata Ovidiu. Good fish restaurants down by the leisure port. We liked Camarote for service and value.

Constanţa looks like a city which will be amazing after 2025. Summer of 2023 is not the right time to visit, as the whole city is torn up with buildings and roads being updated at scale.
Great restaurants, and atmosphere. Locals are very friendly and helpful towards tourists. FInding people who speak English is fairly easy in the tourist area, but venture outside of it, and you better be armed with google translate.
Prices are all over the place, you can pay between 5 and 50 for the same thing, so it's really hard to keep track of money. Can pay with card almost everywhere.

It's a small quiet town with nice views. It's easy to move around. The authorities take care of streets look neater and newer. However, the beach I visited could have been cleaner. I am not sure of the name of the beach, but it's quiet popular and to reach it you have to go downstairs for a few min.
This town is more suitable for a quiet rest with a family or your spouse. If you are looking for parties or active night life, I believe that Constanţa will not suit you.

Constanta is well worth visiting.
Constanta is well worth visiting. Only about two hours by train from Bucharest, the sea air makes all the difference. The old town is the place to go for restaurants, museums, and for strolls by the sea front. The rest of Constanta is less interesting, though there is a nice park with a lake, an amusement park and a couple of malls in the modern centre. For beaches it is best to head out of town to Costinesti or Vama Veche. The city beaches are nice for a walk out of season, but in the summer they are crowded and dirty.

Constanţa is full of interesting, Roman artifacts and sites, plus has excellent museums. The local restaurants are varied and good quality, too. The downtown is walkable, with a large square where cars are not allowed. The corniche along the Black Sea is well developed, also. We loved the Byblos (Lebanese) restaurant and a little deli with prepared food behind glass, where we ate on the downtown square.
This apartment has recently become my personal favorite in Constanta as it's the second time I've stayed here. I chose it for the view on the terrace, it is spectacular in the morning and at night, the perfect place to relax. I love the layout and in general it has all the facilities you need. It is central and very close to the restaurants and beaches. The host was nice and the communication went well over whatsapp, we had no issues. Yes, it is on the third floor in an old (beautiful) building so it's not for the faint of heart :)
It was very easy to find the house and talk with the hosts, to pick up the keys. However, this was in Romanian, so I cannot ascertain if they speak English. The house has a small yard. The street is quiet at night, but sometimes the public lighting did not work.
The fridge in the room was very good and kept a cool temperature for the drinks. The AC was in good condition and could be set to 16 Celsius degrees.
The TV has a couple of channels as it's analogue.
Amazing, panoramic views of the Black Sea from the living room and even from the bedrooms. Very accommodating and welcoming host. Well equipped apartment with everything you may need incl. an espresso machine and a washing machine for clothes. Property is right by the boardwalk and the beach. Also a 6-min walking distance to one of the best vegan restaurants in Constanta :)
Value for money, but no staff interaction, no customer service, location is bit far away from both Mamaia and Constanta old town, no hot milk in the breakfast, even after the request they did not supply it. Staff was not knowledgeable, because they told me I can buy bus ticket on board which was not true. they were not willing to speak to us anyway.
Hotel is located near the main Port of Constanta, so conveninet for work in the port. Was alloted a large what they call matrimonial room, a self contained studio with two rooms, a living room with a kitchennet and a bed room, all well funished and with large televisions displays in both rooms all for Euro 48.00 per day.
This hotel is the place to stay in Constanta, Romania. Friendly staff who were helpful and cherful with every interaction. Free breakfast is great and they will serve it in the room if you need it outside of scheduled hours. Will be my go to place in Constanta.

Good location, between Constanta and Mamaia. If you want to visit both localities, it is well positioned. Quiet location, only good if you want to rest in a quiet place after a day at the beach or a night at the disco.
The owner is very helpful. There are 2 friendly cats (Jose and Ibis) living in the hotel. And they can stay in your room if you want it.

The young lady at the reception, I think her name is Laura, she went above and beyond and made sure I receive breakfast to go because I departed the hotel before breakfast was served. Outstanding!
Location and helpful staff is about the only two positives for this hotel. Save yourself the hassle and just go straight to Mamaia. Hotel looks good from the outside but pretty dated inside.
The host is very friendly and she can give you many tips. 10 min walk to the beach and in the corner there is a bus stop to reach Mamaia beach or old town in just couple of minutes.
Overall the apartment was stunning. This was one of the best accommodations I had in Romania. The Seaview is a huge plus, besides all the comfort provided.
